Digital Patchbay
Tired of re-wiring over and over again? With Konnekt Digital x32 you connect your digital hardware once, make the wiring that fits your setup requirements and you’re good to go. All subsequent routing takes place from the front panel of Digital Konnekt x32.

Format converter
Digital Konnekt x32 provides efficient format conversion between units using ADAT, SPDIF, TOS and AES/EBU digital formats. Any input format can be converted into either of the listed formats and aligned to any sample rate ranging from 44.1 to 96 kHz.

Audio interface
Two FireWire connections enable you to use Konnekt Digital x32 as an audio interface connected to a computer. It streams 16 channels of audio to and from the computer, and is compatible with other TC Electronic audio interfaces.

Integrator plug-in
Digital Konnekt x32’s Integrator plug-in makes integration of external hardware into your DAW environment seamless. It offers a “plug-in” audio routing representation of your external hardware, e.g. Reverb4000, Finalizer, System6000, etc.
Since Integrator operates like a normal VST/AU plug-in it can be inserted on any track, as a send effect or on the master output of your host application.

Unique digital matrix style UI for direct selection of signals
Since all functions are assigned individual front panel buttons without underlying sub menus, Digital Konnekt x32 gives an instant overview of routing and offers intuitive and direct monitoring and operation.

8 ch of sample rate conversion on board for optimal digital adaption
In a digital setup without a sample rate converter it is imperative that all units run by the same sample rate. Increasingly more project studios prefer to run their host application at 96 kHz, a sample rate which lots of digital hardware doesn’t support. Also, using devices that does not receive a digital signal - keyboards, synthesizers, cd/dvd players etc., is a challenge without sample rate converters.
With Digital Konnekt x32 this is no problem. Its sample rate converters allow you to align units running at different sample rates ranging from 44.1 kHz to 96 kHz.

Analog outs (phone and balanced line) for monitoring
Analog stereo outs allow you to connect a set of monitor speakers. This is perfect when you use it as an audio interface, and together with the phones out, it easily lets you monitor each of the inputs individually.

Scene recall enabling instant recall of full setups
The Scene recall function allows you to store up to 4 snapshots of all active routings and settings.

JET™ technology ensures rock solid digital signal handling
The TC developed DICE II chip, running Digital Konnekt x32’s super stable clock, is based on JET™, Jitter Elimination Technology. With the integrated JET™ technology the DICE II chip is able to align all digital signals from external digital sources with extreme perfection. The great benefit of this is that all supported digital formats will be automatically aligned and thereby you get maximum digital quality through and through.

Integrator plug-in

The Integrator plug-in (VST and AU) makes integration of external hardware into your DAW environment seamless. It offers a “plug-in” audio routing representation of your external hardware, e.g. Reverb4000, Finalizer, System6000, etc.

VST and AU
Since Integrator operates like a normal VST/AU plug-in it can be inserted on any track, as a send effect or on the master output of your host application.

Multiple devices
Integrator works with up to four konnekt audio interfaces at a time, so if you have more interfaces, simply select the one that the external hardware is attached to.

Easy routing
To setup the routing of Integrator is as simple as possible. You only have to select the first audio channel: Integrator will then figure out how to route the rest. So, if you for instance have connected your external hardware to the S/PDIF 7+8, simply select S/PDIF 7.

Calibration
With the calibrate feature you can measure the latency of the entire signal chain from plug-in input to plug-in output, including the latency of the plug-in, the audio driver, the D/A and A/D converters and the latency of the external hardware you use. You can see the total roundtrip latency, and the host application will automatically compensate for this latency. Integrator has sample accurate latency measurement.

Test signal
Integrator is able to generate a test signal to verify that your external hardware is routed correctly. The auto test signal mode will cycle between channels.

Meters
Integrator features nice and clear send and return meter sections, and with the level controls you can control the send level and the return level individually.

Included with all konnekt audio interfaces
From TC Near konnekt software version 1.30, the Integrator plug-in is included with all konnekt interfaces.

Minimum system requirements

Mac OSX 10.4.9 or later
• PowerPC (1 GHz or faster) or Intel CPU
• 512 MB RAM
• FireWire (IEEE 1394) port*
• OS X 10.4.9 or later

Windows XP SP2 or Vista x32
• Pentium 4, 1.6 GHz or faster
• 512 MB RAM
• FireWire (IEEE 1394) port*
• Windows XP

* We recommend running konnekts on a dedicated FireWire bus.
If your computer has one or more FireWire connections on the chassis they will typically run on the same FireWire bus. You may connect the konnekt to one of these. If you intend to run more FireWire devices simultaneously, such as e.g. an external hard drive, we recommend running this device on a separate bus.

This would typically be on an installed FireWire PCI card. Note that such a FireWire PCI card typically has 3 ports but these also operate on a single bus.

** Please beware that not all functionality is available at quad speed sample rates (176.4 & 192 kHz)
