George Massenburg explains his thoughts and ideas behind the creation of MDW® HiRes EQ for System 6000 – recorded in TC's room at AES 2002 in Los Angeles.
The essence of a successful design is to bring subjective sound quality, hard fact measurements and user interface together in a desirable way. There is not just one right way to achieve this – different situations call for different EQs. Consequently, TC invited famed producer and engineer George Massenburg to envisage his dream of the best possible digital EQ to complement the existing types in System 6000. Taking advantage of the System's pristine Routing and Clocking, George created the MDW® HiRes EQ to make it come true.
