Konnekt 24D - Cool Tool for School

Norway, January 2nd 2007 - Who would have guessed that TC Electronic’s audio interface Konnekt 24D would not only take the music world by storm, but also help people with their music education?

At the Noroff institute in Norway they realised that if they were to teach their students the many aspects of computer recording, they’d have to start by providing the right tools. And so, they contacted TC Electronic and ended up providing all their students with the Konnekt 24D.

Noroff Institute is the biggest educational institute in Scandinavia when it comes to Sound and Music Production. Noroff has facilities in Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger, Kristiansand, Porsgrunn and Fredrikstad in a wide range of professional fields: IT-and Multimedia, Movies, Sound and Music, Multimediadesign, Design and Animation and also more mercantile subjects.

Over the past couple of years Noroff has established positive cooperation with a variety of foreign universities to help students develop themselves even further.

The Noroff institute seeks to impose their high standards on everything, including education, environments, teachers and equipment. They have huge classes with students being taught the skills of harddisk recording, composing and producing. At the moment, the Noroff institute has one full class of 30 students using the Konnekt 24D to great satisfaction. Intense courses like Sound and Music production require driver and hardware stability, which is exactly where Konnekt 24D delivers. "The students have been nothing but positive about their experiences with the Konnekt 24D", Bjarte Ludwigsen, head teacher at the Sound and Music department of the Noroff institute explains.

“Basically we want the best for our students” Bjarte Ludwigsen adds, elaborating on their choosing Konnekt 24D. Continues Bjarte: “After a long and serious search, we came to the conclusion that TC Electronic’s Konnekt 24D was the best audio interface at a semi-professional level for our students. We want our students to really hear what good sound is.”

Konnekt 24D had all the important features the Noroff Institue hoped for in an interface. It provides great stability, essential for the projects students work on. It provides several headphone outputs which make the Konnekt ideal for group work. The Konnekt 24D features MIDI and an option to enhance the number of inputs and outputs, ensuring its future usability. To round of, it has great sounding micpreamps, really low latency for ASIO monitoring and Hi-Z input for recording instruments making it the ideal tool for school.

Bjarte Ludwigsen concludes: “It was a huge bonus for us that the audio interface also includes some very good DSP plug-ins and very professional software to control it all! Konnekt 24D absolutely meets and even exceeds our highest expectations.”
