Self test menu- To enter the Selftest menu press and hold "BYPASS" button.
- Power on the unit and scroll to "RUN TEST PROGRAM".
- Follow the instructions on the screen..
Resetting the unit: - Power up the unit while pressing and hold the "HELP" button.
- Scroll to reset system, please make sure to backup all presets!
- Confirm by pressing "OK".
- Make sure that all leds can lid up with correct colors and that the latest software version is installed.
- Connect XLR Analog and SPDIF In/Out.
- Connect MIDI OUT to MIDI IN and MIDI THRU to the test panel.
- Connect optic DI to DO.
- Connect the special jack to external control.
- POWER ON.
Check S/PDIF, AES/EBU optical I/O(not an option in the Finalizer)
- Power up the unit while pressing the "BYPASS" button.
- Scroll to "RUN TEST PROGRAM" press OK
- Choose digital I/O press OK.
- When the display shows OK! Turn off the unit from the front of the unit and check if the power button led blinks.
- Power on again.
Noise check: - Choose page two (via menu?), pause the CD player and pump up the volume.
- Set the volume to max for both L and R also for the faders (otherwise it can damage the speakers). Listen for any bad noise or cracks in the sounds, set the input level to 0dB.
- Choose Out-menu scroll to page 2. Adjust the ANALOG level from top to bottom and listen for any bad noise or cracks in the sounds after the test leave it at 0dB.
- Choose Insert 2 ( | 2) and make a external insert (EXT.INS.)
- Go back to IN-menu and choose page 1 (via menu?),.
Digital and analog check: - Play music through the unit and check if there the unit locks to the signal.
- Scroll using the up/down arrows and set input to S/PDIF, listen if it locks.
- Choose mode96 in the INPUT menu both for the tested unit and the test panel.
- Set the Mode to mode48 and test unit and the test panel.
- Scroll to Input choose dig. Out and set it to S/PDIF press play on the CD player and listen if the device locks to the signal.
- Put SR-Conv. To ON
- Set the INT clock to 48. listen if it locks to the signal.
- Set the input back to analog.
- Press recall, OK and go to main page.
- Check if the unit can bypass the signal.

Finish up: - Enter the self test menu.
- Press all buttons and make sure all are working correctly.
- Feed a signal through the unit and knock test it, listen for any sound changes, click or noise sounds.
- Power OFF the unit by pressing and holding the "ON/OFF" button(Notice if the POWER LED blinks when in OFF state, its normal)
- Power off and on a couple of times to ensure it starts up properly every time and check if the latest software is installed
