Self test menuEnter the self test menu. - Power on while pressing "Up Arrow + Edit"
- Loop the midi in/out with a midi cable.
- Choose "Front test" by pressing "ENTER" and run through the test procedure.
- Power off and on.
Reset the unit: - Power on the unit while pressing "ENTER" to enter the system menu.
- Choose "Reset system parameters" and wait until its done.
- Find the latest software and upload it (Midi speed set to 31250)
- Power off the unit.
Sound check! Reset unit: 1. Power on while pressing the "ENTER" button, turn the Control wheel and choose "Reset sys param". 2. Press "ENTER" and wait until you see "Clear/preset done", check the display for example missing pixels are weak light in any areas. 3. Press "ENTER" and then "EXIT". Connections: Connect jack cables to IN/OUT connectors at the back of the unit. Connect the MIDI out to MIDI in, MIDI thru to panel. Choose in the Midi setup menu “Pedal In” to "Ultimate Switch Control".
Press the "BYPASS" key and check if the midi LED in the front panel blinks. Disconnect the MIDI In or MIDI out cable. Make sure that the unit is not set to Bypass.
Press "I/O", put Input to S/PDIF and listen and notice if the output meters on the D-Two show the same level as from your reference device in our case we use a Finalizer96K. Press "I/O", set input back to analog. Set the Sample rate and check if the unit can play at 48 kHz. Set the sample rate back to 44,1 kHz.
Pause the CD player. Set the MIX level to ix = 0%, set input to max input. (The output level knob can make a click sound when at approximately 12 o'clock. Check the pot meter for high noise and crackling sounds if so the pot meter may be defect.
Press the "TAB" and notice if the delay time does change as it should. Put MIX pot meter to 100% , check if the unit makes the same amount of repeats as chosen. "TAB" a rhythm and listen if the unit does it. "TAB" both rhythm and tempo on Ultimate Switch Control and see if the unit does respond to it.
- Enter the self test menu
- Enter the front test follow the procedure, make sure all is working ok.
- Feed a signal through the unit and knock test it, listen for any sound changes, click or noise sounds.
- Power off and on a couple of times to ensure it starts up properly every time and check if the latest software is installed.
