Sound check!

  1. Connect the XLR to IN/OUT to amplifier.
  2. Connect MIDI OUT to MIDI in on the test panel.
  3. Power onthe unit.
  4. Set amplifier to output MONO signal.

Noise check:

  1. Set the volume to max output, Sweep through all bands using SINGLE BAND function, listen for any unusual loud pop click or noise sound.

Sound quality:

  1. Feed a signal to the XLR input.
  2. Sweep through all bands using the SINGLE BAND and check if the 1128 does responds correctly.
  3. Sweep through all bands using Broad.
  4. Sweep through all bands using HIGH SHELVING.
  5. Sweep through all bands using LOW SHELVING.
  6. Check if all responds correctly to all adjustments.
  7. Connect the 1128 to the PC or another 1128 and check if you can control it via midi.
  8. Turn off the unit and make sure that all levels are unchanged after restart.

Finish up:

  1. Press all buttons and make sure all are working.
  2. Knock test the unit, listen for any sound changes, clicks or noisy sounds.
  3. Power off and on again a couple of times and see if it starts up normally.
  4. Finish.
