Self test menu

Enter the self test menu.

  1. Power on while pressing "ALGO/EDIT + UP ARROW"
  2. Loop the midi in/out with a midi cable.
  3. Choose "Front test" by pressing "ENTER" and run through the test procedure.
  4. Power OFF and ON.

Reset unit:

  1. Power on while pressing the "ENTER" button
  2. Scroll to "Reset sys param".
  3. Press "ENTER" and wait until you see "Clear/reset done".
  4. Press "ENTER" and then "EXIT".
  5. Find the latest software and upload it (Midi speed set to 31250).
  6. Power off the unit.

Sound check!

Connections:

  1. Connect XLR cables to IN/OUT connectors at the back of the unit.
  2. Connect switch box to Pedal IN.
  3. Choose in the Midi setup menu “Pedal In” to "Ultimate Switch Control".
  4. Loop MIDI OUT to MIDI IN and MIDI THRU to MIDI IN on your test panel(we use finalizer96)

MIDITEST:

  1. Press the "BYPASS" key and check if the midi LED in the front panel blinks.
  2. Remove the MIDI IN or MIDI out cable.
  3. Make sure that the unit is not set to "BYPASS".

I/O check:

  1. Choose I/O, put Input to S/PDIF and listen and notice if the output meters on the M-one/XL show the same level as from your reference device in our case we use a Finalizer96K.
  2. Choose I/O, put Input back to Analog.
  3. Choose Sample Rate and check if the unit can play at 48 kHz.
  4. Put the sample rate back to 44,1 kHz.

Noise Check:

  1. Pause the CD player.
  2. Set the MIX level to in = 0%, set input to max input. (The output level knob can make a click sound when at approximately 12 o'clock, its normal).
  3. Check the pot meter for high noise and crackling sounds if so the pot meter may be defect.

Reverb check:

  1. Set MIX to max and listen if the reverb sounds normal.
  2. Set EFFECT BAL. to "engine 1" pause the CD, and hear the reverb live on and on
  3. Repeat point 2 for engine 2.
  4. Press pedal jack a couple of times and notice if the "TAB TIME" changes.

Finish up:

    1. Enter the self test menu
    2. Enter the front test follow the procedure make sure all is working ok.
    3. Feed a signal through the unit and knock test it, listen for any sound changes, click or noise sounds.
    4. Power off and on a couple of times to ensure it starts up properly every time and check if the latest software is installed.
    5. Finish.
