Self test menu Power on while pressing "SONG MODE + ARROW UP". Choose "Front test" by pressing "ENTER" and run through the test procedure. Power off and on.
Reset DUT(Device under test): - Power on the unit while pressing "ENTER"to enter the system menu.
- Choose "Reset system parameters" press "ENTER" and wait until its done.
- Find the latest software and upload it (Midi speed set to 31250).
- Restart the unit.
Connect the power cable. Connect pedal jack to EXTERNAL CONTROL IN. Loop MIDI OUT to MIDI IN and MIDI THRU to MIDI IN on your test panel(we use finalizer96). Connect DI(S/PDIF) to Fin96-controllers DUT-stik and DO(S/PDIF) to the Fin96(DI) in the panel. Connect Analog IN/OUT cables. Finalizer96 settings: Input:S/PDIF Mode: Mode48 Fin96-controller set to "CD dig out". Connect a microphone(phantom power) to the Mic input.
Connect a CD player to the unit and play a dry vocal track and listen for the proper output signal. Check if the device locks to the 44.1khz and check if the IN and OUTPUT matches with the Fin96. Press the pedal jack and see/hear if the bypass goes ON and OFF and if the MIDI LED in the panel does blink. Disconnect the MIDI IN or the MIDI OUT. Press the "SETUP" button and set the INPUT to "Digital" and press "MENU". Check if the signal locks to the Fin96 listen for any bad sound and that the signal is equal left and right. Repeat for Analog test. Change between 48khz and 44.1khz and notice if the Fin96 locks to it and if the sound is normal. Control that the Microphone works properly with and without the phantom power. Check if the -20dB works while singing in the microphone the signal should drop.
Pause the CD player. Set the INPUT LEVEL to "max output". You can hear a weak click sound when passing the approx.12 o'clock on the INPUT potmeter. Check the potmeter for high noise and crackling sounds the pot meter may be defect. Set the INPUT LEVEL to low output and start the CD player.
Finish up: - Enter the self test menu
- Enter the front test, follow the procedure and make sure all is working ok.
- Feed a signal through the unit and knock test it, listen for any sound changes, click or noise sounds.
- Power off and on a couple of times to ensure it starts up properly every time and check if the latest software is insalled..
