Sound check!- Connect the XLR to IN/OUT to amplifier.
- Connect MIDI OUT to MIDI in on the test panel.
- Power onthe unit.
- Set amplifier to output MONO signal.
Noise check:- Set the volume to max output, Sweep through all bands using SINGLE BAND function, listen for any unusual loud pop click or noise sound.
Sound quality:- Feed a signal to the XLR input.
- Sweep through all bands using the SINGLE BAND and check if the 1128 does responds correctly.
- Sweep through all bands using Broad.
- Sweep through all bands using HIGH SHELVING.
- Sweep through all bands using LOW SHELVING.
- Check if all responds correctly to all adjustments.
- Connect the 1128 to the PC or another 1128 and check if you can control it via midi.
- Turn off the unit and make sure that all levels are unchanged after restart.
Finish up: - Press all buttons and make sure all are working.
- Knock test the unit, listen for any sound changes, clicks or noisy sounds.
- Power off and on again a couple of times and see if it starts up normally.
