Power on while pressing "BYPASS + STORE". - Loop the midi in and midi out.
Choose "Front test" by pressing the "ENCODER" and run through the test procedure. Power OFF and ON.
Power ON the unit, and watch for correct software during start-up. Hook up a condenser microphone to the mic in and engage the "Mic" and "+48V" buttons on the front. Sing or whatever into the mic, and make sure the VoiceWorksPlus produces the correct effects. Disengage the "mic" button on the front, and listen to the line input (using a dry-track of some sort). Again, make sure the VoiceWorksPlus makes the correct effects. Hit the "SETUP" button and set the input to digital using the "EDIT 1" encoder, use the "EDIT 2" encoder to adjust the sample rate. Make sure the S/PDIF in is connected to a source (dig out of CD player) and the S/PDIF out is connected to a source (any device that will show digital input). Switch between the Sample Rates and watch the source connected to the S/PDIF out react correspondingly. Switch the input to digital and listen.
- Enter the self test menu.
- Enter the front test follow the procedure make sure all is working ok.
- Feed a signal through the unit and knock test it, listen for any sound changes, click or noise sounds.
- Power off and on a couple of times to ensure it starts up properly every time and check if the latest software is installed.
